Ambedkarnagar, Oct. 23 -- Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Friday took a swipe at the Samajwadi Party (SP)-Congress alliance, claiming that the SP would never allocate 170 seats to the Congress.

Mocking the prolonged seat-sharing discussions, Rajbhar said the elections would be approaching by the time their negotiations concluded, leaving the Congress exhausted.

He also accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of visiting Mohammad Azam Khan at Rampur jail with an eye on the elections, alleging that the meeting was politically motivated.
