Jaipur, June 24 -- Rajasthan, Haryana and the union Jal Shakti Ministry today reached a consensus to ensure early availability of the state's due share in the Yamuna water for the Shekhawati region of the desert state.

The consensus reached at the high-level meeting held in New Delhi under chairmanship of union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil attended by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and his Haryana counter- part Naib Singh Saini.

"There has been consensus that Rajasthan will get its due share in the Yamuna water. This would be supplied into the needy region of Shekhawati by pipeline instead of the canal.
