Jaipur, July 30 -- Post cataract surgery infection has posed serious risk of vision loss in 7 patients at the Government Hospital at Kuchaman City.
The patients underwent cataract surgery on Tuesday at the Kuchaman City Govt Hospital, the condition of some deteriorated following the infection within 24 hours of the surgery, they had severe pain in eye ball and the pupil turned white, the doctors said.
While 5 patients Ghasi Ram (65), Heera Ram (73), Gokul (70), Meera Devi (68) and Narayani (67) were rushed to the S M S Hospital here late last night, 2 were referred to Ajmer for required treatment, the SMS Medical College Principal Dr Deepak Maheshwari said.
