Bengaluru, May 26 -- Former Karnataka Minister K N Rajanna on Tuesday reiterated that senior Congress leader G Parameshwara should be given an opportunity to lead the state if a change of Chief Minister is considered or takes place, and urged an early resolution to the ongoing confusion over the Congress leadership in KarnatakaSpeaking to reporters in Bengaluru ahead of the Congress high command's meeting with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Rajanna said he continued to stand by his earlier statement backing Parameshwara for the top post.

"If there is a change of Chief Minister, Parameshwara should be given an opportunity. However, the high command will take an appropriate decision," he said.
