Mumbai, July 1 -- In a sensational claim, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has said that the ongoing political instability and the "poaching" of elected representatives in the State are part of a strategic exercise orchestrated by the union Home Minister Amit Shah to secure his own position as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a meeting of MNS office-bearers here, Thackeray remarked that the current political landscape in both the state and the country is marred by "debased and dirty" tactics.
