Jaipur, May 9 -- The Rajasthan Government has taken serious action against doctors and helping staff for "medical negligence" in five cesarean deliveries in a Kota hospital, after two of the women died, while the other three are critical.
Taking serious exception in the case, the government has dismissed temporary appointee gynecologist Dr Shradha Upadhyay, placed under suspension another doctor Dr Navneet Kumar and two nursing Officers Gurjeet Kaur and Neemesh Verma, an official spokesman said here.
Besides this, the Ward incharge Prof BL Patidar and Dr Neha Sehra were served with showcause notices.
The condition of five women had deteriorated following cesarean (C-section) deliveries earlier this week.
