Bengaluru, May 8 -- Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Friday launched a scathing attack on Governors appointed during BJP rule, alleging that Raj Bhavans across the country were increasingly functioning as "BJP and RSS offices" instead of impartial constitutional institutions.

Questioning the role of Governors in government formation exercises, Kharge said constitutional authorities were acting selectively and deviating from established democratic conventions.

"But at whose behest is the Governor acting? Why are Governors' offices becoming BJP and RSS offices?" he asked.
