Chandigarh, Aug. 3 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts moderate rainfall over parts of Punjab and the Chandigarh region for the next two days, followed by a gradual decrease in precipitation. The monsoon trough and a western disturbance will continue to affect weather conditions in north India.
According to the Hydromet Bulletin from the IMD's Flood Meteorological Office, Chandigarh, a cyclonic circulation is currently over northeast Rajasthan.
The monsoon trough extends from Bikaner through Delhi, Lucknow, and Patna to Manipur. A western disturbance also remains over the Jammu region, contributing to the current weather pattern.
