Shimla, March 12 -- Rainfall in several districts of Himachal Pradesh and snowfall in the higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti on Thursday brought relief from the prolonged dry spell and caused a noticeable drop in temperatures across the state.
Reports from Kullu, Mandi, and Chamba said light showers occurred in several areas, partially ending the dry weather that had persisted for days. The rain brought cooler conditions and increased cloud cover.
In the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti, snowfall was reported in the higher altitudes, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded 4 mm of rainfall at Keylong, the district headquarters.
