Srinagar, March 30 -- Rain lashed several parts of the Kashmir Valley while higher reaches received fresh snowfall for the second consecutive day on Monday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting intermittent rain and snow in the Valley till April 10.

The wet weather kept the daytime temperatures below normal across most stations in Kashmir.

As per the weather data by the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded in many areas of South and North Kashmir on Monday. Qazigund recorded the highest rainfall of 35 mm between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, followed by Kokernag, which received 17 mm, and Pahalgam with 14 mm of rainfall.
