Panchkula, July 23 -- The Indian Railways Technical Supervisors' Association (IRTSA) has requested that the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) conduct thorough field visits to railway workshops, maintenance depots, and production units.
IRTSA maintains that pay recommendations must reflect the actual conditions faced by this complex and safety-critical workforce.
In a memorandum to the Railway Board, the association welcomed the Commission's planned visits to railway establishments but recommended expanding the itinerary to include core technical operations that demonstrate the demanding nature of railway engineering roles.
