Panchkula, Aug. 5 -- In response to ongoing passenger complaints, the Railway Board has directed all Zonal Railways to provide every Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) passenger in air-conditioned classes, except AC Chair Car, with a complete bedroll kit, including linen and blanket, equal to that provided to other passengers in the coach.
In a letter dated Aug 4, 2026, to General Managers of all Zonal Railways, the Railway Board noted that complaints about inadequate or missing bedroll kits for RAC passengers continue to be received through multiple channels, despite repeated instructions over the years.
