Siliguri, May 8 -- Avirup Bhadra, a student of Sarada Shishu Mandir in Raiganj of Uttar Dinajpur district, has secured the first position in the Madhyamik Examination across West Bengal this year, scoring an impressive 698 marks in aggregate.
Despite his remarkable achievement, Bhadra said he had never imagined that he would top the state.
"I had expected a good result, but I never thought I would stand first in West Bengal," Bhadra said shortly after the results were announced.
