New Delhi, July 19 -- The Ministry of Railways has appointed Rahul Himalian, Director (Tourism & Marketing) at the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), as the additional Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company.
He will assume charge from July 20, 2026, following the resignation of Sanjay Kumar Jain from the top post.
A 1999-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, Himalian has more than 26 years of experience in the Indian Railways and IRCTC. He has been serving as a Whole-Time Functional Director on the IRCTC Board since February 2024 and currently oversees key divisions, including tourism, information technology, human resource development, infrastructure, administration, and Rajbhasha.
