Lucknow, April 25 -- Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday criticised the government over an alleged rape and murder in Ghazipur, saying the case reflected a wider pattern of injustice against women from marginalised communities.

In a post on social media platform X, Gandhi cited previous cases including Hathras, Kathua and Unnao, and alleged that victims in such incidents often come from Dalit, backward, tribal or economically weaker backgrounds, while accused persons are protected.

Gandhi also referenced the ongoing concerns over violence in Manipur, stating that justice has been delayed for victims there as well.
