New Delhi, Aug. 20 -- Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said the idea of Swaraj was about creating an India where every citizen, regardless of religion, caste, age or gender, felt respected, loved and secure in their sense of belonging.
Addressing 'Hara Bhara Swaraj: A Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi's Vision', organised to mark former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's 82nd birth anniversary, Rahul Gandhi said the country needed to reverse what he described as a growing feeling of exclusion among minorities, Dalits and Adivasis.
"Every single person, regardless of religion, caste, age or gender, must feel: 'I belong here. I am loved here. I am respected here and my search for truth matters'," he said.
