Parmod KumarNew Delhi, Aug. 14 -- The Supreme Court on Friday quashed the criminal complaint and the December 12, 2024 summons issued by a Lucknow Magistrate Court against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his November 17, 2022 remarks against Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, after noting that the Uttar Pradesh government had not disclosed any prior sanction for his prosecution as an elected Member of Parliament.
