Chandigarh, Aug. 24 -- Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring is set to remain at the helm of the party's state unit as Congress prepares for a major Punjab tour by Rahul Gandhi next month, party leader Bhupesh Baghel said after meeting Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi in New Delhi.
Baghel said the proposed tour, originally expected in late August, would now likely be held in the first week of September. The final dates have not yet been fixed.
"I met both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. The main topic was the bus journey planned for Punjab," Baghel told reporters after he met with the Congress leadership.
