New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday launched a new public platform, 'Satyagraha', around the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, seeking to connect people across India who are using peaceful resistance to raise their voices against injustice and demand that their concerns be heard.
Unveiled around Gandhi Jayanti, the initiative draws on Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of truth, non-violence and resistance to injustice. The Congress said the platform was intended to carry the spirit of Satyagraha into contemporary struggles being waged by citizens over a range of local and national issues.
