Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday came out in support of Leader of Opposition and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's protest in Delhi, saying he was making the government accountable.
He said it was the responsibility of the Opposition to question the government.
Reacting to a question about Gandhi sitting on a dharna outside a Delhi Police station Omar said the opposition leader was doing what was expected of him.
"If the opposition leader does not do the opposition, then what is the use of it?" Omar told reporters in Srinagar.
He said opposition leaders should not be judged by different standards depending on who is raising the issue.
