Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Sept. 5 -- Punjab's opposition Congress said on Saturday it would show black flags to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wherever he goes in the state, escalating a row over the alleged custodial torture of a man detained after staging a similar protest at one of Mann's programmes.

The party announced the statewide protest after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke over the telephone to Mohanjit Singh Sheron, who has accused police of beating him and giving him electric shocks following his detention on September 2.
