New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, today accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of attempting to use the proposed delimitation exercise to weaken Tamil Nadu's political voice, alleging that the move was a conspiracy to disenfranchise the state's people and warning that those supporting it would be remembered as the "Ettappans of the 21st century".
Addressing reporters in Chennai, Gandhi said the proposed delimitation exercise posed a serious challenge to the future of Tamil Nadu, its people and the Tamil language, and called on all political parties and citizens to oppose it.
