Kolkata, April 18 -- Describing radicalisation as the biggest challenge facing West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit chief Shamik Bhattacharya on Saturday blamed the ruling Trinamool Congress's "vote bank politics" for the "dangerous trend" of a steady influx of people from neighbouring Bangladesh.
"The biggest challenge facing West Bengal today is radicalisation. The state is not prepared to confront this issue, and there is no intellectual society left to provide a counter-narrative," he said.
He referred to the steady influx of infiltrators of people from neighbouring Bangladesh and termed it as a dangerous trend.
