Buenos Aires, Sept. 19 -- Racing ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 home win over title challengers Sarmiento in Argentina's Clausura tournament.

Gonzalo Escudero, Adrian Martinez and Ignacio Rodriguez were on target for the hosts, while Junior Marabel struck for the visitor on Friday.

Sarmiento remains second in the 15-team Zone B standings with 16 points, behind Argentinos Juniors on goal difference. Racing is 12th with eight points from 10 games.

In Friday's only other Argentine top-flight fixture, Central Cordoba recovered from two goals down to earn a 2-2 home draw with Defensa y Justicia.
