Kolkata, March 11 -- R. N. Ravi will be sworn in as the new Governor of West Bengal on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Lok Bhavan, formerly known as Raj Bhavan.
The state government confirmed the schedule of the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday.
According to officials at Nabanna, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend the oath-taking ceremony.
The Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, has also been invited to the event.
Senior state officials, including Chief Secretary Nandini Chakraborty and Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, are also expected to be present.
Ravi has been appointed as the permanent Governor of West Bengal following the resignation of C. V. Ananda Bose from the post earlier this week.
