Bhubaneswar, Sept. 14 -- Puri Heritage Walks (PHW), which has been promoting heritage awareness and exploration across Odisha, marked its second anniversary by honouring heritage custodians and teams driving the state's heritage-walk movement.
Eminent historian Prof Kharavela Mohanty, speaking at the event on Sunday, traced the evolution of the Pashupata cult and Shaivite worship in Odisha and highlighted the state's distinct tradition of patronising Shaiva culture.
Siddheswar Mahapatra, author of Puri Boli, Srimandir priest and writer on Puri's cultural traditions, spoke on the spiritual and architectural heritage of Srikshetra and the Srimandir, drawing on verses from scriptures describing the Trinity.
