Neeraj BaliChandigarh, July 3 -- A young man from Punjab's Budha village near Beas died after allegedly drowning in a lake in Germany, leaving his family and residents of the village in deep shock.
The deceased, identified as Harshpreet, had travelled to Germany around a year ago to reunite with his father, who has been living there for the past seven years.
According to family members, Harshpreet had gone to a lake with a group of friends for a recreational outing when the incident occurred. During the visit, he reportedly entered the water and drowned. His death has devastated the family, as he was the only son and was regarded as the family's main hope for the future.
