Chandigarh, May 2 -- A 31-year-old man from Punjab's Moga district is among 11 individuals deported from Australia on April 30 after their legal stay expired. Harpreet Singh, a resident of Dodhar village, returned to India after being held in an Australian detention center for approximately six months. According to his parents, Manjit Singh and Paramjit Kaur, Harpreet had moved to Australia eight years ago on a spouse visa, joining his wife, Manpreet Kaur, who had initially traveled there on a study visa.
