Chandigarh, June 10 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday announced that the state government will formulate a comprehensive policy to provide relief to residents who have invested in unauthorized colonies across Punjab and are facing legal and civic difficulties.
During an interaction with residents affected by the issue, Mann said thousands of families had invested their hard-earned savings in residential plots without knowing that the colonies lacked necessary approvals, leaving them unable to complete property registrations or access essential services such as electricity, water supply, and sewerage connections.
