Chandigarh, May 3 -- The Punjab government has reported a significant surge in its revenue for April 2026, characterized by robust double-digit growth in Value Added Tax (VAT) and Punjab State Development Tax (PSDT) collections.
Announcing the fiscal milestone on Sunday, Punjab Finance, Excise and Taxation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated that the state exchequer has gained approximately Rs 265 crore in additional revenue from these two sectors alone.
