Chandigarh, Feb. 28 -- In a significant counter-terrorism breakthrough, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) of SAS Nagar has dismantled a foreign-based terror module, thwarting a potential strike in the region.
During an intelligence-led operation, law enforcement officials arrested two individuals and recovered a fully assembled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) laden with approximately 2.5 kg of RDX. The seized explosive was reportedly equipped with a sophisticated dual detonation mechanism featuring both remote and timer triggers. In addition to the IED, police recovered a Glock pistol and live ammunition from the suspects.
