Chandigarh, Feb. 23 -- : The Counter Intelligence wing of the Punjab Police has dismantled a cross-border drug trafficking syndicate with the arrest of three individuals in Amritsar. The operation led to the recovery of 6 kg of heroin and 6 kg of ICE, also known as crystal methamphetamine.
Director General of Police Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on Monday that the arrests were part of a state-wide crackdown launched under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to curb the drug menace.
The arrested accused have been identified as Partap Singh of Ferozepur, and Ajaypal Singh and Jobandeep Singh, both residents of Amritsar. Police also seized a black Splendor motorcycle and a white Activa scooter allegedly used by the trio to transp...
