Chandigarh, March 21 -- In a decisive crackdown on crime, the Punjab Police has apprehended 15,683 individuals, including notorious gangsters and their active associates, over the last 60 days.

This massive crackdown is part of the state-wide 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, an initiative launched following the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eliminate organized crime in the state. Since the campaign's launch on January 20 by Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, law enforcement agencies have executed 46,915 strategic raids across various districts.
