Chandigarh, April 14 -- In an intensified crackdown against organised crime, the Punjab Police on Tuesday conducted 566 raids across the state, resulting in the apprehension of 311 individuals. The operation marks the 84th day of the 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, a strategic initiative launched under the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the gangster culture in Punjab.
Directed by DGP Gaurav Yadav, the state-wide offensive involved coordinated efforts between district police units and the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), targeting specifically mapped locations associated with criminal elements.
