Chandigarh, April 20 -- Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak conducted an inspection of the wheat procurement operations at Dana Mandi in Sangrur today to ensure that the ongoing season proceeds without any inconvenience to farmers.
Accompanied by local MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj, the Minister emphasised that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is fully committed to the smooth and timely procurement of every grain produced by the state's farmers. He assured that the government is closely monitoring the entire process to ensure that produce is lifted promptly and payments are credited to farmers' accounts within the stipulated timeframe.
