Chandigarh, May 4 -- The Punjab Hotel Association has issued a stern warning to the Central Government following a significant surge in the prices of commercial gas cylinders. In a move that has rattled the hospitality sector, the price of a commercial cylinder has reportedly been hiked by Rs 993, pushing the total cost per unit beyond the Rs 3,000 mark.
Expressing deep resentment, the association stated that this "exorbitant" increase would break the financial backbone of hotels, restaurants, and local eateries across the state.
