Chandigarh, March 30 -- In a decisive move to address the increasing energy demands and sporadic LPG shortages in the state, Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora announced on Monday an ambitious plan to expand the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) infrastructure.
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, the Minister revealed that the state government has set a target to provide 39 lakh new gas connections this year. He emphasized that the primary focus of this expansion is to safeguard the industrial sector from fuel scarcity while ensuring a seamless supply to residential areas.
