Chandigarh, April 3 -- The Punjab government has officially issued the notification for the 'Mava-Dheeya Satkar Yojana,' a flagship welfare initiative aimed at providing monthly financial assistance to women across the state.

This announcement follows the initial proposal made during the state budget presentation on March 8, marking a significant step toward the socio-economic empowerment of women in the region.

Under the finalized guidelines, women belonging to the general category over the age of 18 will receive a monthly stipend of 1,000 rupees, while women from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category are set to receive 1,500 rupees per month.
