Chandigarh, June 3 -- The Punjab government has expanded the scope of its flagship Chief Minister Sehat Yojana, allowing beneficiaries to avail cashless treatment for 17 additional medical procedures at empanelled private hospitals and extending coverage to individuals living alone, including senior citizens, widows and parents whose children reside abroad.
Announcing the decision on Wednesday, Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh said the move is aimed at improving access to healthcare services, reducing the burden on government hospitals and ensuring timely treatment for patients across the state.
