Chandigarh, April 10 -- In a significant move toward inclusive governance, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has launched a major initiative to eliminate communication barriers for children with special needs.
As a step to help these children express their concerns and emotions effectively, the state has empanelled a specialised team consisting of 42 special educators, one sign language interpreter, and 48 translators. This child-friendly measure is designed to provide professional assistance to those who face language-related challenges or physical disabilities that hinder regular communication.
