Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Sept. 7 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday said the institution could not be pressured by any "strategy" and would act strictly in accordance with law, as it heard a fresh petition accusing the Punjab government of failing to comply with an order to clear pending dearness allowance arrears of employees and pensioners.
Chief Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra made the remarks during the hearing of the long-running DA dispute, which has now also reached the Supreme Court after the Punjab government challenged the High Court's August 3 ruling.
"This court will function according to the rule of law," the Chief Justice said during the proceedings.
