Chandigarh, June 25 -- The Congress high command is expected to take a final call on the leadership structure of its Punjab unit, with a series of consultations underway in New Delhi on Thursday, party sources said.

According to sources, senior Congress leader and party general secretary K C Venugopal has been holding individual meetings with key Punjab leaders before the formal announcement of the new leadership team. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was among the leaders who met Venugopal at his residence in the national capital.

Sources indicated that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had recently reviewed reports submitted by three party observers and subsequently held discussions with five senior Punjab leaders. Foll...
