Punjab CM's OSD moves CBI court over FIR leak, agency told to respond by Oct 12

Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Oct. 7 -- Rajbir Singh Ghuman, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has moved a special CBI court here alleging that the FIR registered against him and five others in a corruption case was made public despite the investigating agency having obtained an exemption from uploading the document.

Issuing notice to the CBI on Ghuman's application, the court asked the agency to file its response by October 12.

Counsel for Ghuman, argued that the CBI had earlier approached the court seeking exemption from uploading the FIR, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation. The court had allowed the request, but the FIR subsequently became available to the media and the public, he submitted. ...
