Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Aug. 27 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has brought the CBI into proceedings concerning alleged corruption linked to the Punjab Chief Minister's Office after the court was told that the Enforcement Directorate had approached the state police chief three times with material seeking criminal action.

The issue came into focus when the Centre placed before the court the dates of the ED's communications to the Punjab Director General of Police. The agency wrote on July 24, followed by letters on July 30 and August 7, according to the information given during the hearing.
