Chandigarh, May 30 -- The State Election Commission of Punjab has announced the official schedule for the upcoming municipal council elections in four key urban local bodies, setting the stage for a fresh political contest in the state.
According to the commission, voting for the municipal councils of Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Qadian, and Sham Chaurasi will take place on June 13. With this announcement, the Model Code of Conduct has been enforced with immediate effect across the designated territories and will remain operational until the culmination of the entire electoral process.
