Chandigarh, June 10 -- The Punjab Cabinet on Wednesday approved a series of welfare, education, infrastructure and industrial reform measures, including free bus travel for candidates appearing in the reconducted NEET-UG examination, recruitment of more than 1,000 lecturers, hiring of Junior Engineers, establishment of compressed biogas projects, and amendments aimed at improving the state's industrial ecosystem.
The decisions were taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
According to an official statement, the Cabinet approved measures focused on student welfare, employment generation, public infrastructure, renewable energy, administrative reforms and industrial development.
