Chandigarh, Oct. 9 -- Punjab is experiencing unusually warm nights, with minimum temperatures remaining significantly above normal even as fresh rainfall is forecast in parts of the state between October 10 and 12, prompting weather experts to advise farmers to take precautions during the ongoing harvesting season.
Dr Pavneet Kaur Kingra, a weather expert at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, said nighttime temperatures had remained unusually high and referred to historical temperature records dating back to 1970.
However, the precise historical reading and the corresponding latest temperature required to establish a new record were not immediately available.
