Sangrur, April 14 -- Dirba police have recovered a significant quantity of narcotics from a car during a routine checking operation and have arrested one person in this connection.

According to officials, the police intercepted a suspicious vehicle and conducted a search, leading to the recovery of approximately 10 kg of bhukki (poppy husk).

One accused was arrested on the spot, while further investigation is underway to identify possible links and the supply chain.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and police are probing the source and intended destination of the consignment.
