Patna, March 25 -- BJP state President Sanjay Saraogi on Wednesday welcomed the Delhi High Court's decision to dismiss a plea seeking to quash the FIR lodged by the CBI against Lalu Prasad Yadav in the alleged land-for-jobs case, saying the ruling reinforces that the law functions independently and allows the investigation to proceed.
Sanjay Saraogi said that the ruling reaffirms that "the law has a long reach", adding that the judiciary takes decisions based on facts and evidence, and the rejection of the plea indicates that there is sufficient ground for the case to proceed. "If corruption has taken place, the law will do its job," he asserted.
