Hyderabad, June 3 -- Jagadgirigutta Police, along with the Kukatpally CCS team, apprehended five members of a pseudo police gang involved in kidnapping, police impersonation, extortion, wrongful confinement and organised criminal activities, police said on Wednesday.
Police identified the accused as Nagaraju Raghu Varma alias Karthikeya alias Vamshi, Yeswanth Singh alias Rahul, Sathyabhan Singh alias Thakur and Thangellapalli Nagendra Varma, while two others remain absconding.
According to police, the gang kidnapped a businessman near Shobodhaya Colony in Jagadgirigutta on May 18 by posing as police personnel and falsely claiming that a criminal case had been registered against him in Haryana.
